OpenVZ / XenPV Re-install

Simply Just click the re-install button in SolusVM control panel.

XenHVM

  • For our HVM guests we use a cdrom based install mechanism so like a real server certain things have to be done if reloading.
  • Firstly Login to SolusVM and set the VPS to boot from the CD-Rom as the primary device
  • Power the machine off then back on (a reboot is not enough)
  • Connect to the console so you can watch the installation or do it manually.
  • Once the installation is completed power the VPS down
  • Set the boot order to be HDD first
  • Boot the server and your OS should load
